My Services

I specialise in training owners and their pet dogs and work on a One to One basis in my clients own homes and local open spaces. I feel it is so important to deal with any problems at the root and that usually starts at home, this is where you and your dog spend the majority of time and this is where I can assess and gain a true picture of the relationship between owner and dog. I am very flexible and will arrange a time that will fit in with busy family and work schedules.

One to One Consultations & Training
For dogs of all ages. You may want the right start with a new puppy, or advice on a specific problem with an older dog, or you may have just given a home to a rescue dog and are trying to deal with the problems this may bring.
I also offer consultations to give you advice on choosing the right dog for you and all that goes with dog ownership.

Lessons These can be held at your home or open space near you or at my home in Haxey DN9, lessons will be charged by the hour, Travel charges will be included if I travel to you. A discount will be offered for block bookings.

Puppy Socialisation & Training

It is extremely important to socialise your puppy from the moment he comes to your home, usually at around 7-9 weeks, he will already have learnt how to be a dog from his Mum and litter brothers and sisters. And hopefully the breeder will have already handled him, began toilet training and introduced him to household sights and sounds.

Tthe best way to start is to have as many positive, calm interactions in your home. This is a good time to invite the neighbours, friends and family and their children in for a cup of tea.

It is important to introduce your puppy to other pets in the home and you can start some basic training straight away. When your puppy has completed his/her vaccinations, devote time to take your puppy to all the places that you intend to spend your future with him. ie: local parks, shops, school, town, on the bus, in the car, the local pub, friends & families homes.

It's a big world out there! All these experiences must be positive ones and when handled correctly will result in a well balanced and socialised happy dog.

Before we get our Puppy advice x 1 visit Are you thinking about getting a new puppy, not sure what breed is right for you? where is it best to get our puppy? Which one do we choose? How do we prepare for our new arrival? When do we start training our puppy?

One to One Puppy Pack x 2 Visits, up to 18 weeks. This includes an initial consultation & training visit to help you with any problems and to give you and your puppy basic training guidance, The earlier the better, I would prefer to see you and your puppy as soon as you get him or her, and then a second visit a couple of months later to see how you and your puppy are getting along and to give further training tips. You will receive my puppy training book, a free clicker and training treats.

One to One Puppy Consultation x 1 visit, up to 18 weeks This includes an initial consultation & training visit to help you with any problems and to give you and your puppy basic training guidance, The earlier the better, You will receive my puppytraining book, a free clicker and training treats.

Before we get our Rescue Dog advice x 1 visit Are you thinking about getting a new dog, not sure what breed is right for you? where is it best to get our dog? How do we prepare for our new arrival? When do we start training our new dog? How do we introduce a second dog to our home?

One to One Behavioural Consultation & Training Session for behavioural issues, x 1 visit

What does this involve?
The time I spend in your home on the initial Consultation/training session, will be anything ranging from 3 - 4 hours,

When I have observed and assessed your situation and ascertained your individual needs, you will receive immediate hands on training on the day. During this time, you will be shown all sorts of training methods and practical demonstrations and you and your family will also be actively encouraged to participate in them, I always endeavor to make it interesting and fun for you and your dog.

I love Clicker training and so this will be demonstrated in most cases. and will be provided with written information and training sheets, that you will need to continue training, I can also provide you with a bespoke training programme if required.

Also provided as part of my consultation/training visit will be a support service for as long as you need me, this can be either by telephone ( between 9am and 7pm Monday to Saturday), text or email at any time.
If you require further training sessions, these can then be arranged at an additional hourly rate with a discount for block bookings.

One to One Behavioural Consultation only, for behavioural issues x 1 visit

What does this involve? The time I spend in your home on the initial Consultation/training session, will be anything ranging from 2 - 3 hours, When I have observed and assessed your situation and ascertained your individual needs then we can discuss the way forward and arrange further visits if needed.

One to One Hourly lessons Ideal for owners that cannot for whatever reason attend training classes. or just prefer that personal touch. I meet you and your dog at your home or a pre-arranged open space, or you can come to my home in Haxey, where we can concentrate on your specific training needs. If you wish to share the cost of a lesson with another dog owning friend then that is alright by me. I offer a discount for block bookings.

How Much? Please note that I do not put my costs on my website for my one to one services, purely because I want you to contact me, I like the personal touch and I don't bite!
